ProQual Level 3 Award in Emergency First Aid at Work

Learners develop the knowledge and practical competence needed to assess an incident and provide immediate first aid within the scope of an emergency first aider.
It may suit practitioners and staff working in aesthetics, beauty, laser clinics, salons, academies and other workplaces. Employers must decide the appropriate number and level of first-aid personnel through their own first-aid needs assessment.

Achievement requires successful completion of all required knowledge and practical assessments; attendance alone does not guarantee certification.

Ofqual-regulated • Pass/Fail • Valid for 3 years
Classroom-based practical training and assessment covering scene safety, CPR, AED, recovery position, choking, bleeding, shock, burns, seizures and minor injuries.
Learners must be at least 14, have sufficient English-language ability and be physically capable of practical assessment. Achievement requires successful knowledge and face-to-face practical assessment; attendance alone does not guarantee certification.
Employers must use their own first-aid needs assessment to decide whether this qualification and the number of trained staff are appropriate for their workplace risks.
